About

Brent Alexander McTavish

Photographic Visual Artist

Penticton, Canada

Brent Alexander McTavish (BAM) is a Canadian-British photographic visual arts storyteller based in the charming city of Penticton, BC, Canada. With over 35+ years of dedication to his craft, BAM has cultivated a unique and unmistakable style that evokes emotion and invites contemplation.

In November 2025, after 24 years living, working, creating, and selling first in London, England for 12 years, followed by another 12 years based in the South of France, BAM returned to Canada, his homeland, where he continues to evolve and create.

McTavish’s work as a Fine Art Photographer is motivated by the exploration of beauty, connection, intrigue and other-worldly elements, drawing inspiration from spiritual iconography, whether it be actual, perceived or imagined. BAM aims to captivate his audience with a sense of intrigue, transporting them to a world beyond their own.
